       About the E-Bike World Tour

FWT Management SA, based in Lausanne, Switzerland, has been organising world-class sports events in mountain resorts and regions since 1996. As the founders of the Xtreme Verbier and the Freeride World Tour (FWT), we felt that it was time to expand our expertise and taste for extreme competition to the summer. And in 2020 the E-Bike World Tour (EBWT) was born.

Just as the organisers of the FWT imagined a race format similar to that of their winter Tour, a spot at the final in Verbier needed to be earned, competitors at the EBWT had to earn their place on the E-Tour du Mont-Blanc (ETMB). For those first years the race, which also started in Verbier, was invitation only. Since 2022, EBWT e-races are open to the public meaning everyone up to the challenge can take part.

But, the EBWT is much more than just a race series. It’s a festival created for and around E-Bikes. From seasoned professionals to part-time riders, from believers to skeptics, from young to old, the festival has plenty to offer for any and every kind of e-biker.

The E-Race

The original concept of that first race, the E-Tour du Mont Blanc, was born from an idea - riding hidden trails that no chair lift can take you to, trails that cannot be reached without motorised assistance. The EBWT now looks to incorporate that idea in different locations, showcasing fantastic terrains and challenging but rewarding trails that, at each round, are crafted to the unique capabilities and strengths of E-Bikes.

The Festivals

With the EBWT being much more than just the races themselves, visitors to the festival can expect activities such as Gourmet Tours to taste local specialities, Discovery Tours to explore the best scenery and E-bike Tests of top brands and models. To see all the activities, click here.
