E-Bike World Tour E-Races affiliated with UCI
The two E-Bike World Tour E-Races scheduled for Tignes-Val d’Isère (30-31July) and Verbier (11-13 August) are now part of the UCI’s International Mountain Bike Calendar under the E-Mountain Bike Cross-Country Marathon category.
Tignes-Val d’Isère, 29 July 2021 – The organisers of the E-Tour de Haute Tarentaise and the E-Tour du Mont-Blanc are proud to announce that their e-races will be affiliated with the UCI. Following on from the E-MTB Cross-Country and E-MTB Enduro categories, the UCI now offers the new category of E-MTB Cross-Country Marathon.
Currently, the E-Tour de Haute Tarentaise part of the Tignes-Val d’Isère E-Bike Festival and the E-Tour du Mont Blanc-Verbier E-Bike Festival, are the only E-MTB Cross-Country Marathon races in the 2021 International Mountain Bike Calendar. The objective is to add more dates in the near future.

The E-Tour de Haute Tarentaise launches this Friday in the resorts of Tignes and Val d’Isère. The racers will tackle two days of competition over 160km and 9,000m of climbing across the neighbouring communes of Sainte-Foy en Tarentaise, Seez, Montvalezan, and Bourg St-Maurice.
Tracy Moseley, Nadine Sapin, Nathalie Schneitter, and Léa DesLandes have already been announced for the Women’s Elite Race. In the Men’s category a number of top Cross-Country, Enduro, and E-MTB athletes have signed up: Stéphane Tempier, Marco Fontana, Nicolas Vouilloz, Charles Murray, Kenny Müller, Kevin Miquel, Christoph Sauser.
